Gta 5 Online Money Casino Update

A brand new GTA Online weekly update has dropped this morning and like last week, early indications suggest it's another week of slim pickings.

  • Rockstar just opened up the first casino in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Diamond, where players can pay real money to gamble in game. The casino has been empty for the first six years of GTA.

From what we've seen online, there's no new car, but there is at least the return of the Dewbauchee JB700W2 on the Casino lucky wheel.

The discounts are also a biti 'meh'. There's some good savings on Arcade property and the Buzzard Attack Chopper, but that's about it.

It's possible more info is on the way, we hope so, not least with everyone staying inside in self isolation with more time to play.

We should learn about the official GTA 5 patch notes from today's update when they're released by Rockstar Games later today on the newswire.

But ahead of time, the games dedicated player base has revealed some of the big changes with this week's new GTA Online weekly patch.

GTA Online New vehicle

Once again, it looks like there's no 'new' vehicle. At least, that's what we're seeing from the chatter this morning.

There is however a new podium vehicle in the GTA Online Casino to obtain. This week players who spin the casino wheel have the chance of owning the Dewbauchee JB700W2.

Here's a quick look at the bike description:

'Grease up the drive shaft because this hot number has curves in all the right places. A classic luxury grand tourer, the JB 700 has been the car of choice for drunken misogynistic British spies since 1965. Dust off the tuxedo, quip a sexual double-entendre, pour yourself a martini for the road, and stumble out as everyone in the room mutters what a turd you are. For safety reasons this vehicle's concealed weapons have been decommissioned.' – Legendary Motorsport description.

The James Bonus style car is worth $1,470,000 and is one of the slickest looking vehicles you'll find in the game. It's a slight update to the games existing JB 700. It was last available back in December 2019.

And according to the description on the GTA Wiki, its also sounds like a blast to drive:

' The vehicle's relatively light weight and low profile make it a stable car, however, it is prone to oversteer at high speeds due to its RWD drivetrain. Crash deformation is impressive, as the JB 700 can take multiple head-on collisions and much gunfire before the engine fails. It is also one of the best drifting cars in the game. Its top speed is shared with the Stinger.'

The gamble paid off for them

Casino

GTA Online continues to prove its popularity as a record number of players logged on to play the online mode of Grand Theft Auto V, on July 23, Rockstar Games told The Hollywood Reporter.

While the video game juggernaut didn't reveal actual numbers, we do know that Grand Theft Auto V has shipped over 100 million copies worldwide, and GTA Online was pulling in around 8 million players a week back in November, 2015. So... it's more than that, obviously.

It seems that the Diamond Casino Update, which was added to GTA Online on July 23, was a big draw. The recently added casino allows players to gamble their cash on a load of casino favourites like blackjack, poker and roulette. However, because of gambling laws in countries such as North Korea and China, some players aren't able to access the casino. The 'are loot boxes gambling?' debate rages on, even if the UK Gambling Commission says they aren't.

Money On Gta 5

Still holding out hope for a Ballad of Gay Tony or a Lost and the Damned for Grand Theft Auto V? Yeah... maybe time to let that go.
